Day 147
Went for a mellow ride around Stanley Park with Ben, then out to UBC. Nice and sunny, but pretty cold... and lots of constuction! We were all over the place trying to dodge traffic and dirt roads from construction, cutting through parks and parking lots. 35.29km in 1:24:53, for an avg speed of 25km/h.

Day 146
Went out around UBC to along Marine to Granville and back. 43.04km in 1:36:14 for an avg speed of 26.9km/h. Keeping the pace nice and mellow, but with downside of not generating much body heat... it wasn't too cold today, but with the rain I was wishing for an extra layer. Got pretty numb! Probably should have at least had some sort of hat on under my helmet. It's funny when you're so cold that hills are a welcome relief from the wind and a chance to warm up a bit. There were a couple times today where I was glad to hit an uphill section, and a few times where I thought "oh, fuck, another downhill... this is gonna be cold!"

Day 144
Nice clean and tuned up bike returned to me today, just without a power meter. The hub had to be sent off for new bearings and that could take a few weeks. So I'm training by heart rate for now... had nice ride in the fog tonight. 28.45km in 1:03:20, for an avg speed of 27km/h

Day 143
Probably won't get to train today. I've been at school most of the day, and have a bunch of work to do for the morning. I was planning to hit the gym at school today, but had to change plans and take a spare rear wheel into the shop as a temp while my wheel with a power hub is sent away for new bearings and calibration. Turns out I'd also worn out a few other parts of my bike: brake pads, chain, bottom bracket, cables, derailleur, and pedals... not bad for less than a year of riding!

Didn't sleep well last night, so I slept in, then I went back to sleep. Being awake for 24 hours every Friday really seems to beat me down by Sunday.

School all day, now I need to eat then head to work, so no ride today. On the bright side, I'm feeling much better than I was all week, so hopefully working all night doesn't cause a relapse and I can ride tomorrow.

Day 128
So, you might have noticed a recent trend... as in no riding (not to mention no new posts). Well, I've corrected that now, I hope! I've been keeping track, just not posting, so now we're up to date. Hopefully I can get my fitness back too. I got preoccupied with school, then with relaxing on my break, and my riding has been nearly non-existent. Maybe I needed a break, but I think I've just been lazy. So now the plan is to get back in the groove. School is even busier than last semester, but I'll make it work. I've been eager to get out for a couple of days now, but a combination of feeling sick and snow on the ground has kept me in. The forecast is for the snow to be gone soon, so hopefully this cold will be too. I felt pretty rough this morning, then got a little stoned in my organic chem lab... right now I just feel stoned. Probably won't get out tonight, but hopefully I'll be back in good health to ride Saturday.

Went out for about an hour tonight. Still haven't fixed my computer, so I have no data. Freezing cold!
Day 113
Rode today, but my power meter isn't working. Went for an hour, usual speed, intensity, etc.
